Fructose (D-Fructose / Levulose, CAS 57-48-7, molecular formula C₆H₁₂O₆, MW 180.16) is a naturally occurring monosaccharide and the sweetest of all natural sugars, approximately 1.2–1.8 times sweeter than sucrose. In pharmaceutical formulations, crystalline fructose serves as a sweetening agent, energy source in parenteral nutrition solutions, diluent in chewable tablets, and tonicity adjustor in injectable preparations. Its high solubility and synergistic sweetness enhancement make it valuable in pediatric and geriatric oral formulations.
China is one of the world’s largest crystalline fructose producers with annual capacity exceeding 500,000 MT. Our facility in Shandong Province produces 60,000 MT/year through enzymatic isomerization of corn-derived glucose followed by chromatographic separation and crystallization, with dedicated pharmaceutical-grade processing lines achieving high chemical purity and low impurity profiles.

Quality testing includes specific rotation, HPLC assay and related sugars (glucose, sucrose), loss on drying, residue on ignition, chloride, sulfate, calcium, heavy metals, 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF), reducing sugars, and comprehensive microbiological analysis. Parenteral-grade fructose undergoes additional endotoxin testing.

Packaging & Export Logistics
Packaged in 25 kg PE-lined paper bags or 25 kg cartons. Bulk packaging in 1,000 kg FIBCs with moisture-barrier liners. Store in a cool, dry place at 15–25°C, protected from moisture — fructose is moderately hygroscopic. Shelf life is 36 months from manufacture. Non-hazardous for transport. Container loading: approximately 24 MT per 20′ FCL.
