Cetostearyl Alcohol (Cetearyl Alcohol, CAS 67762-27-0) is a mixture of cetyl alcohol (C₁₆) and stearyl alcohol (C₁₈) fatty alcohols in varying ratios, typically 30:70 or 50:50. It is one of the most widely used emulsion stabilizers, consistency enhancers, and co-emulsifiers in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and personal care formulations. In pharmaceuticals, it serves as a stiffening agent in creams and ointments, an emulsion stabilizer for O/W systems, and a tablet coating plasticizer.

Store in a cool, dry place at temperatures below 30°C. Shelf life is 36 months. Non-hazardous for transport. Approximately 18–20 MT per 20′ FCL container.
